So many of us are so busy these days and constantly on the go! It's so easy and convenient to grab a packaged/processed snack when you're in a rush - and while you can still definitely do that! We also have some easy healthy snack ideas that you may want to try out as well.
Since so many packaged snacks don't include fruits or vegetables, we suggest that when you reach for a healthy snack alternative that you consider adding these in!
A container full of fresh cut up veggies is always a great idea. If you don't want to snack on vegetables on their own - feel free to add a dressing or dip! We recommend cutting up a lot of vegetables once a week and keeping them in a container in the fridge. Then you can just grab a handful whenever you want!
Another good go to is peanut butter with sliced apple! Really you could use any 'nut butter' you'd like: almond, cashew, sunflower seed etc. The 'nut butter' will add some protein and goes well with a crisp apple! We like to use 'granny smith' apples for a tart contrast.
Our last recommendation would be a smoothie! Smoothies are quick and easy to drink and you can put whatever you'd like in them! Frozen fruit is great to use here and then you don't have to worry about your fruit going bad or getting too ripe. You can also add in vegetables! For example, avocado, kale, or celery are great options that won't overpower your smoothie with a strong flavour.
